Call For Papers

This special session follows the IEEE VTS motor vehicle challenge 2020 devoted to the energy management of a fuel cell/ultracapacitor/battery HEV. This challenge was launched in October 2019 during the IEEE VPPC 2019 conference, in Hanoi, Vietnam.

The aim was to develop an Energy Management Strategy (EMS) to minimize the consumption of hydrogen; and to increase the lifetime of the energy sources of the HEV (www.motorvehicleschallenge.org).

For this version of the challenge, we have 60 registered teams and have received 18 solutions from 12 countries. The top scoring participants will be distinguished and invited to present their results in this special session at the 2020 IEEE VPPC. This special session is also an opportunity for other participants to present their works on this and on previous challenges.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

• Energy Management Strategy (EMS)
• Fuel cell systems
• Ultracapacitors
• Hybrid Electrical vehicles
• Short-term Storage Systems (3S): battery and super capacitors

Submission Deadline: 8 June 2020
Acceptance notification: 17 July 2020
Final paper submission deadline: 7 August 2020
