About - VTC2023-Spring

The IEEE Vehicular Technology Society (VTS) hosts several conferences each year so that scientists, engineers, students, technicians, and others who are interested in advancing research and development in vehicular technology and mobile networks may exchange ideas in an enjoyable and stimulating environment.

VTS first started its own conference, the flagship Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC), in 1950 in Detroit, MI, USA, as strictly a mobile radio conference. But as technology advanced, VTC expanded its focus to land transportation, vehicular electronics, and wireless communications. In 1999 the Society made a bold move to offer VTC twice a year, once in the spring and again in the fall, and in 2013 it became the sole sponsor of another conference on Vehicle Power and Propulsion (VPPC). The latest edition to our suite of conferences is Wireless Africa (WAC) that began in 2018.

Our Society has grown into a global organization supporting many diverse events across the world promoting the development and standardization of new technology. Thus, your participation in VTS events gives you a platform to influence the direction of the technology that connects the mobile world. Our conferences are open to all members of the technical community, and I would like to personally invite you to attend.

If you are interested in hosting one of the VTS conferences in your area, please contact one of the conference administrators listed below for information and instructions on how to submit a proposal.

Thank you.
