Abstract: This workshop focuses on innovative and lightweight security solutions designed to address the unique challenges of securing Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) networks. With the rapid evolution of intelligent transportation systems, V2X networks are becoming increasingly complex due to the interconnectivity of vehicles, infrastructure, pedestrians, and IoT devices. Ensuring secure and reliable communication in this dynamic ecosystem demands adaptive and efficient security measures capable of meeting stringent requirements, such as low latency, high reliability, scalability, and energy efficiency.

The workshop will explore a wide range of security approaches, from physical layer security to cryptographic techniques, authentication protocols, and privacy-preserving methods across different layers of the V2X communication stack. It will also highlight the integration of AI and machine learning for proactive, real-time threat detection and cross-layer security solutions that provide end-to-end protection. Cutting-edge advancements in communication technologies, such as intelligent surfaces, millimeter-wave and terahertz bands, and optical wireless systems like LiFi and VLC, will be discussed for their potential to enable novel security mechanisms. Additionally, the workshop will delve into quantum-safe cryptography, blockchain-based decentralized models, and secure hardware architectures tailored for resource-constrained vehicular devices.

By bringing together experts from academia and industry, this half-day workshop provides a platform to showcase the latest advancements and foster collaboration on securing V2X networks. Attendees will gain insights into state-of-the-art solutions and emerging technologies that ensure a secure, resilient, and trustworthy communication infrastructure for the connected vehicles and smart transportation systems of the future.
